WHAT IS HARLEM HOLIDAY LIGHTS?

Harlem Holiday Lights is a beloved tradition that brings the community together to celebrate the rich heritage and vibrant spirit of Harlem.

What began with modest street decorations has grown into a spectacular one day event and the ONLY lighted parade in New York City.

Grand Marshals

Over the years, the BID has had the honor of welcoming an array of Grand Marshals who embody the essence of Harlem and its enduring legacy. From influential figures and celebrated celebrities to our very own local heroes, each grand marshal has brought their unique flair and heartfelt dedication to our beloved event.

WAYS TO PARTICIPATE

Decorate Your Home or Business

Get into the holiday spirit and decorate your establishment with holiday lights to help us make the 125th Street more festive.

Set Up A Watch Area

Designate an area along the parade route near your home or business where spectators can safely and comfortably view the Caravan of Lights. Provide seating, food and beverage, noisemakers and/or restroom facilities. These areas will ensure that everyone can enjoy the parade in a safe and enjoyable environment.

Sponsor A Float

Sponsoring a float during the caravan of lights is a wonderful way to highlight your business and demonstrate your support for the Harlem community. The floats are a central feature in the Caravan of lights allowing you to creatively display your brand and engage with the community in a festive and memorable way!  For more information please email 125thstreetbid2@gmail.com.
