Celebrating The 28th Annual Harlem Holiday Lights Bringing Cheers

The 125th Street Business Improvement District and its partners, Manhattan Community Boards 9 and 10 and the Mount Morris Park Improvement Association welcome everyone to the Harlem Holiday Lights festival.  Join us as we kick off the holiday season in Harlem with the lighting of 125th Street starting on November 15th, 125th Street will be illuminated from Broadway to Fifth Avenue.  On November 16th, the Caravan of lights will travel through Harlem.

It is an unforgettable experience for people of all ages. Every November, a wide variety of community groups and merchants host in-store activities and promotions, as well as outdoor activities, to celebrate Harlem culture and the start of the holiday season.

The event this year takes place along 125th Street, and it stretches from Fifth Avenue to Marginal Street and travels through Harlem’s Adam Clayton Powell and Malcolm X Boulevard; Fifth and Madison Avenue and around Marcus Garvey Park.

The celebration allows the residents, businesses and organizations along the route to participate by providing entertainment and showcasing Harlem’s history.  The event encourages everyone to celebrate by bringing out lights, making some noise, and being neighborly.  The event is proving to be a true uniting experience.  There are also digital experiences that include audio walking tours and augmented reality musical experiences.
